People who said Q fell for the trick. Notice the 8 is initially on the bottom of the triangle whereas in Q it isnt. Both sides being 8 would make it isosceles which it cant be with a 30 degree angle hence Q is automatically wrong.

guys guys, don't you know what congruent means?
Q is a similar triangle, because the angles are the same but the scale is different.
R is correct, because sin30degrees = 8/16

Hey I remember doing that question in a past paper :D but that wasn't me. It was in the UK GCSE, AQA math paper. I think it's for January 2006. Not sure though.
