    it's a general meme thats been copied all over the place. started on south park, spread through 4chan and may have been copied in simpsons after that (haven't seen it on simpsons personally though)

    He only got a half point because the correct answer is "Global Maximum." It is the highest point on the entire function. A "Maximum" can be "local," meaning there's a higher point else where on the function, or "Global," meaning it is the highest absolute point.
