My 6th grade science teacher was like this. She convinced the whole class that mass = weight. I didn't buy that ****! When I argued, she just told me to be quiet. So, of course, I wrote a well researched report on the matter. Teachers can't argue with a bibliography! You know what? That bitch gave me 10 points on my test. VICTORY!

I corrected a history teacher when he said that "Roosevelt decided that dropping the atomic bombs in Japan was the only solution to end the war" . I raised my hand and said "respectfully sir, Roosevelt was dead. President Harry S. Truman did that". He looked at HIS book to verify and he looked at me and said "I need to talk to you after class". WHAT?

"I insisted that the length of one kilometer was GREATER than that of one mile" This is the teacher speaking: she says at the end that she was wrong and indeed she was wrong. She said a kilometer - which is 5/8 of a mile - was greater, longer, further than one mile. Which is nonsense. I worry about all those saying Alex was wrong......

I just KNOW I'm going to get thumbdowned for this, but there are ways of telling the teacher that they are wrong and calling them a liar is not a good one. Much better to say that you believe they are mistaken and ask them to prove or justify what they are saying with external evidence. I quietly told the teacher who presumed to try to teach us French that she was wrong at the end of a lesson one day - NOT in front of the class, only to be bawled out by my class teacher; Needless to say I WAS right... but like Alex I was told NEVER to challenge authority.

And that right there is why American kids can't find the US on a map. Props to this lil' badass.

A student smarter then a teacher. Now isn't that surprising...

I hope Alex skipped detention. Standing up for what is right is the best way to show respect for the school. Incorrect information should be corrected.

Resistance is futile. Alex shall be assimilated into the horde.

See this is what happens when teachers are too used to having a higher authority power. They get so narcissistic into thinking everything they say is right and if anyone DAAARRRESS to challenge and pose a threat to their precious little ego, they will unleash their self centered, nose in air, triumphant wrath.
