The kid is clearly smarter than the teacher. There isn't a correct way to answer that question, unless we live in imagination land where an object can move against another one without creating any friction whatsoever and objects can also contine to move after coming to a rest.........might as well draw an elephant......

I think I probably would've commented on the whole "frictionless ramp" thing. But that's just me.

QUOTE: <<"QUOTE: << “(b) Does the object continue to move after it comes to rest?” – ummmm no.>> Sure it does dumbass that's what happens when you push something against a spring.">> umm ur the dumbass? after all, the definition of something coming to rest is that it stops moving....and even if u say that thats not it, look at the second part of that question. they r apparently using 2 different definitions for "coming to rest"....fail test!

on a "frictionless ramp" (assuming there is no elephant) the object will just be launched back off the ramp and not com to rest until it hits the ground on the other side. For it to come to rest on the ramp, there would have to be friction

Unless your name is "Billy Richardson" and you went to Curtis High School, then it's not your test. I have seen the original document and I know the teacher that graded it. It's not polite to lie online. I went to high school and college with him and yes, he is ALWAYS that awesome.
