    in that problem, the correct answer is a curved line, in this case the curvature of the whale's "belly" is the correct answer. the only thing the student did was decorate his/her answer with whale parts

    I don't know why I had a gut reaction of a check being correct. It can and often does mean wrong. He probably got them both wrong.
