    Expand to x^5 - x^2 , then solve for x. If you aren't allowed to use graphing programs, advanced calculators or mathcad, you're bumfucked.

    he was supposed to multiply the x^3. The way he was solving it he should've come out with x^5+x^4-6x^3. working the other way, factor x^3...x^3(x^2+x-6)...x^3(x+3)(x-2). :P
